Singing the Blues, It's About Public Safety and IDing Nail Polish
Five things to help you plan your day on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013.
Good morning from Meriden Patch! Today is Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013.
1. Come spend your afternoon downtown Meriden listening to fabulous music by Dan Stevens playing Blues. The summer concert series continues from Noon to 2 p.m. today.
2. From the government side, the Public Safety Committee will meet tonight at 5 p.m. at Meriden City Hall, 142 Main St.
3. In case you missed it: If you want nail polish remover, you're going to need an ID. Seriously. New regulations at CVS will require consumers to prove they are of age and would use it appropriate. Read more here.
4. Not free until evening, but still want some music? Head to downtown Southington for a little polka with Dennis Polisky & The Maestro's Men with Music on the Green at 7 p.m.
5. Worried about weekend weather? Don't be. It's going to be nice and clear through the rest of the week and into the weekend, according to the National Weather Center.
