VOLUNTEERS WANTED: Civil War Encampment in Meriden needs volunteers of high school age and up for its Civil War Remembrance Concert on Friday evening, Oct. 5. Volunteers are needed from 6:30 till 9:00 pm at Lincoln Middle School Theater, 164 Centennial Ave., Meriden CT. This is a one time, one night commitment and we need your help.
Civil War era-appropriate music works and choral representing cultural aspects of the period will be presented by Meriden ArtsTrust, Inc.
Concert volunteer duties might include: Hand out programs, usher guests, assist with refreshments, staff the information table, etc. (Parking will be available in the school lot.)
The Remembrance Concert and Saturday's Civil War Encampment (CWE) honor the 150th anniversary of the American Civil War and recognize Meriden’s contributions. CWE is a collaborative effort of the 2d Conn. Volunteer Heavy Artillery, Meriden ArtsTrust, Inc., Meriden Historical Society and Quinnipiac River Watershed Association; and is made possible through a generous grant from the Meriden Foundation.
