Daffodil Festival Committee names new members:
The 34th annual Meriden Daffodil Festival committee recently named three (3) new members to its staff. All of the individuals were selected for their past exemplary volunteer services and interned for a year to assess their skill and dedication in the planning and logistics of the event. The gentlemen are all Meriden residents with strong ties to their hometown. They bring their skills and a youthful perspective along with some unique ideas to the table. Their contacts in the business and civic community will be a valuable asset to the Committees’ inner workings, which will relate positively to many Festival activities.
The three “R’s” as they have been dubbed, include Bob Raguckas, Jr., Kevin Roman and Joe Ragozzino.
Mr. Raguckas, Jr. is a firefighter with the City of Meriden, Mr. Roman is affiliated with the Roman Oil Company and Mr. Ragozzino with Ragozzino Foods.
The Committee is extremely pleased these individuals agreed to serve and welcomes the opportunity to fully utilize their youthful enthusiasm in the planning of the 2012 event which takes place, this year, April 28th & 29th in Hubbard Park.
