Flash Mob!

The Rushford Center, Meriden's substance abuse treatment facility organized a "flash mob" at Hubbard Park's Summer Solstice concert Tuesday night.

It was a night devoted to Jimmy Buffet – but wait – ABBA!? Yup. The Rushford Center, Meriden's substance abuse treatment facility organized a "flash mob" at Meriden's Summer Solstice concert at Hubbard Park Tuesday night. Adults, teens and kids converged on the crowd listening to the beachey tunes of "Changes in Latitudes" at the park's bandshell and performed a coordinated dance to the 70's disco anthem Dancing Queen. The reason? To show teens that you can have fun without drugs and alcohol.
