Alexa Beauregard was raised in Meriden and went to high school in Middletown.

Alexa Beauregard has already made a splash in the local country scene, performing at local venues like the Durham Fair. And now, the 19-year-old Meriden resident plans on pursuing bigger things.

In an interview with The Record-Journal, Beauregard said she plans on finishing up her sophomore year at Stetson University and, in 2014, she will head off to Nashville to pursue a career as a professional country singer.

“I know my career is not the easiest to conquer,” Beauregard told the newspaper, “but singing is my first priority.”

A 2012 graduate of Mercy High School in Middletown, Beauregard describes herself in her bio as a lifelong musician who recorded her first demo at age 11 and is "dedicated" to music.
