Photo Op: It's a Weird, Weird Winter

One resident sent in a shot of his first daffodil bloom - which opened today, at least a month earlier than usual.

Meriden state Rep. Buddy Altobello sent in this photo of a daffodil on the south side of his Meriden home that bloomed today, Wed. March 7. Normally, he said, his daffodils don't bloom until at least April, but the mild winter seems to have urged plants out early. The first official day of spring, according to the Farmer's Almanac, is set for March 20, 2012.

Have you seen signs of a very early spring? We'd love it if you'd take a pic and upload it to this gallery.
