Pit Bull Needs Help on Road to Recovery

The Meriden Humane Society is seeking volunteers to help care for Bells, a dog that was recently found emaciated and without a home.

The following message is from The Meriden Humane Society:

Dear Friends!! WE NEED YOUR HELP!!! A throw away pit bull mom was dropped off at our shelter. She was bred until they no longer needed her, and the money they received for her puppies wasn't even used to care for her. She is skin and bones and we need to put some weight on this poor girl. Meet Bells, she is not up for adoption yet but she is in desperate need of putting on some healthy weight. We are looking for volunteers to donate SATIN BALLS, which is a healthy way to put weight on a skinny dog. Read her bio and I have posted the recipe for Satin Balls below. If anyone would be able to make a batch and drop them off at the shelter, we would be eternally grateful. The more people, the better. These can be dropped off daily between 8am-5pm daily. If anyone has any questions, please email Meriden society@sbcglobal.net. Here is the recipe for Satin Balls:

5 pounds ground meat
5 cups Total whole grain cereal
5 cups oats (slow cooking type)
2½ cups raw wheat germ
¾ cup oil
¾ cup molasses
6 egg yolks
5 packets gelatin
2 ½ tablespoons Solid Gold Seameal supplement

Mix up, form balls, freeze, feed as treats or food supplement.

Bells thanks you too ♥. Please share!
