Report: Daffodil Festival Broke Record

Organizers say as many as 75,000 people attended last weekend's event at Hubbard Park.

According to organizers, this year's Meriden Daffodil Festival was attended by a record crowd.

Meriden Parks and Recreation Director Mark Zebora told the Meriden Record Journal that ticket sales topped $340,000 last weekend, well over the previous high of $293,000 set just two years ago.

Everything went as scheduled, organizers said.
