Tree Falling on Eaton Ave. House "Sounded Like an Explosion"

Pat Cerasale and her husband spent Sunday afternoon cleaning up the massive tree that plunged through their porch and took out their pool.

Pat Cerasale was in surprisingly good spirits when Patch reporters caught up with her . Cerasale was in front of her Eaton Ave. house surveying the massive tree that uprooted in her front yard and crashed through her porch Sunday morning during the period of high winds that accompanied Hurricane Irene. The tree also hit another tree that in turn fell on her pool and destroyed it. Luckily no one was hurt, and not one window was broken. Neighbors came by in a constant stream, transfixed by the large root system on its side that was much taller than Cerasale itself.
