Bob Dylan's 70 ... How Has He Influenced You?

Do you have a favorite Dylan tune? A story about how his music made an impact on your life?

Bob Dylan, one of the most influential songwriters and artists of all-time, turned 70 yesterday. Check out this amazing coverage in Rolling Stone, which includes fun facts, other artists' favorite Dylan tunes and 70 pictures of the icon.

Dylan, born Robert Allen Zimmerman in Duluth, MN, on May 24, 1941, is best known for his early folk recordings that chronicled the burgeoning civil rights movement and emerging counterculture of the early 1960s. In 1965, he alienated many of his former folk comrades by "going electric" at the Newport Jazz Festival, but has continued to record music in a variety of styles and go out on tour to this day.

Dylan's milestone got Patch to thinking: How many of you did his music influence? Did you ever see him in concert (and if so, could you understand what he was saying)? Did you ever meet him? What did the music -- or the man -- mean to you?
