are celebrating their 20th anniversary by revisiting the very first musical the company ever performed: Guys and Dolls.
Winner of a Tony Award for Best Musical when it opened on Broadway in 1951, the show depicts the humorous hijinks of small-time gamblers and the "dolls" who try to tame them in pre-1950s New York City.
Guys and Dolls features such well-known tunes as "Bushel and a Peck," "Luck Be a Lady" and "Sit Down You're Rockin' the Boat." For a sneak peek at a few of the jokes and musical numbers, check out these short videos.
The show opens June 1, 2012, and runs Friday and Saturday evenings at 7:30 until June 16. Sunday matinees are scheduled for 2 p.m. on June 3 and 10. Performances take place at the 70-seat Almira F. Stephan Memorial Playhouse, 59 West Main Street.
