Friday Night Lights, Law & Order: UK, Blue Bloods

Friday Night Lights, 8 p.m., NBC

This is it. I am as filled with mixed emotions as I imagine I will be at my children’s weddings. I love this show so much – it is without question the best show that has happened in the last 10 years, hands down and I will fight you over that statement. And this is the end. The first episode of the last season. I can’t wait to get back at it, as Landry and Julie head off to college, Mrs. Coach Taylor starts her new job, Coach Taylor continues building his team, and the lives of all the other characters we have come to now and love are wrapped up for us. If you have never watched this show – if in my five years of writing about this show’s brilliance I have failed to convince you, then now is the time to start listening to me.

Whoa. I did not see that coming. Even though it is L&O, and they switch it up all the time in the casting, I did not expect to see James resign at the end of last week’s episode (the season finale). It was such a great episode, and then boom! he was done. Plus, I read an article that said his boss, George, has also left the show – I missed that if he resigned also. I loved that old guy’s accent.

You are going to hate me for saying this, but check out how much sighing goes on in the show. Two weeks in a row, it really started bugging me. Now, it will bug you too.
