"It has been quite the journey and we have had the pleasure of serving so many of you," Owen said, and thanked her customers in a statement released last week.
The shop at 33 West Main St. has become a common meeting point for many who frequent downtown Meriden, like local and state government officials, police, Middlesex College Students, and YMCA patrons.
The shop, which has traditionally been open only weekdays from 7 a.m. - 5 p.m. Mon - Thu and until 4 p.m. on Fridays will also start new Saturday hours beginning this weekend, Owen said.
Dolce will now be open from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m. on Saturdays. The change comes at the request of Middlesex students who have classes on that day.
