Maloney High School is seeking two sports stars to coach Softball and Tennis this spring, according to a Nov. 29 posting on the Board of Education website. The school is looking to hire an assistant Girls Softball Coach and a Head Boys Tennis Coach. Can you carry up to 20 pounds regularly?  That's just one of the multitude of duties being asked of the Meriden Public Library's new Security Guard/Building Monitor. The monitor is responsible for maintaining order inside the library, patrolling the parking lot and perimeter of building, writing up reports on infractions, being available at all hours in case of an alarm, knowing CPR and doing some light physical work like changing light bulbs. The city is looking for a part-time Police Service Technician to work 19 hours a week at police headquarters. According to the City of Meriden's employment website, the technician is responsible for general clerical duties involved in arrests, evidence, and other associated tasks.
