Midstate Medical Center Executive Joins Red Cross Board

Cindy Russo, of Cheshire, is the senior vice president of operations at Meriden's full-care hospital.

The American Red Cross Connecticut Chapter announced the election of Cindy Russo to its board of directors.

Russo is Senior Vice President, Operations, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. American Red Cross Connecticut and Rhode Island Region CEO Mario Bruno said Russo’s skills will be instrumental on the Red Cross Board of Directors. “Cindy has a track record of visionary leadership in a mission-driven organization devoted to serving the needs of clients. 

"Her skills are a perfect complement to the mission of the Red Cross. We know she will help us in delivering service of the highest quality.”

Bruno said Russo joins a board that provides support and guidance to the Red Cross in Connecticut. “We are fortunate to have the help of these extraordinary leaders who lend their expertise and time to build a strong and effective Red Cross presence in Connecticut.”

Cindy Russo is Senior Vice President, Operations, at MidState Medical Center in Meriden. She joined the organization in 2001 and has held her current position since 2009. Prior to her work at MidState Medical Center, Russo was Director, Internal Medicine and Urgent Care at Yale University Health Services.

Russo is a member of the American College of Health Care Executives and is a guest faculty member at the Quinnipiac University School of Health Services. Russo serves on the Boards of the Wallingford Education Foundation and the Cheshire Chamber of Commerce. She is a resident of Cheshire.
