Nest Egg Auctions Has Record Sale

The sale of a metal sculpture and other items at the auction house exceeded expectations.

 

A local auction house had a record sale recently with bidding for one of its sculptures topping out at $118,000.

The Sol LeWitt sculputure was one of several pieces in lot that sold above expectations, according to this blog. The 38-inch, seven-pointed star sculpture that ends in a flat top, was the featured item at the May 5 auction.

Nest Egg Auctions is a family-owned business with two generations of experience in antiques. In its 12,000-square-foot facility, at 30 Research Parkway, the company holds Monday auctions of a wide-range of items, including antique coins, jewelry, silver, furniture, dishes, musical instruments and much more.
