Poll: How Much Will You Miss Friendly's?
The Friendly's on East Main Street closed its doors to the public for good Tuesday night. Will you miss it?
Fribbles. Tuna Melts. Butter Crunch ice cream. These are a thing of the past in Meriden.
Friendly Ice Cream Corporation filed for bankruptcy yesterday, shutting down seven underperforming stores in Connecticut, including the one on East Main Street. About 20 people were employed at that restaurant, which closed its doors for good Tuesday night.
