How the 2nd amendment affects you!

2nd Amendment

Eleven years after Declaration of Independence and four years after the independence victory a small group of delegates gather together in Philadelphia to create a new Constitution for a new nation.

Meeting for three-and-a-half months from May 25 to September 17, 1787, our founding fathers sought to form a new “perfect union” and establish a government that would “secure the Blessings of Liberty to us and our posterity”. The solution was to create a strong government of adequate but limited powers, to secure our rights against Domestic and Foreign oppression.

The document was drafted and ratified authorizing a government and its powers, with checks and balances through various measures, such as the Executive branch (President), Legislative branch (Senators and Representatives) and Judicial branch (Court System).

In 1789 the Constitution was amended, listing the first ten amendments as the Bill of Rights, these are the basic unalienable, non-negotiable and guarantee rights of the people of this nation.

I will point out a few of the amendments to make my point, the 1st Amendment gives us the right and freedom to practice our religion, gives us freedom of speech, to freely assemble and petition our government, the 2nd gives us the right to keep and bear arms, the 3rd gives us the right to keep unwanted guess in our home, the 4th amendment gives us the right to be secure in our homes, property, papers, computers and so on from unreasonable searches and confiscation.

What does the 2nd amendment mean to me, it means more than just the right to keep guns in my home, it means liberty, whether or not you like guns, it is written in the Bill of Rights, again a guarantee, think of it this way, if the government can prohibit the right of law abiding citizen to bear arms, what to say they would not prohibit you from the amendments, your right to assemble, your to practice your religion, your right to be secure in your home, car or other property from intrusion, searches and seizures .

These are our rights as American Citizens, the 2nd amendment affects all of us, if they succeed your other rights are compromised, we are see those being trump as well.

Join the fight is not just about guns is about your Liberty and Freedom.
