DEP's Weekend Beach Status

All of the ponds, lakes and stretches of ocean tested by the Department of Environmental Protection are open for swimming this weekend.

It may be a dreary, misty Friday, but the weatherman says we're in for sunshine and near-90-degree heat for the rest of the weekend. If you're thinking of heading to the beach, take your pick – all of the ponds, lakes and stretches of ocean tested by the Department of Environmental Protection are open for swimming as of Thursday.

So feel free to head off to any one of these destinations and dive right in:
