Friends, Media, Identify Meriden Stabbing Victim

Police have yet to confirm the identities of the two teenagers, one who has since died, who were stabbed Friday night near Midstate Hospital.

The teenager who was fatally stabbed on Kensington Avenue in Meriden has been identified as 15-year-old Deandre Felton, according to media reports.

The Hartford Courant and The Record Journal both cited family and friends in naming Felton as the victim of the double-stabbing incident.

Police have yet to identify Felton as the victim, or the other teen who was stabbed Friday night outside Midstate Medical Hospital in Meriden. Police responded to the incident just after 9:30 p.m. after getting a tip from an anonymous female caller.

By Saturday morning, a Facebook page titled "R.I.P. Deandre Felton" was set up and the page has since garnered over 1,400 members. Multiple people, including what appears to be many of Felton's peers, have left messages on the page expressing condolences for his family's loss.

According to reports on the Facebook page, a candlelight service is scheduled to take place in Washington Park in Meriden between 5 and 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
