Update: Runaway Meriden Teen Found Safe

17-year-old Casey Birdsey disappeared Sunday afternoon but has been found, according to police

 

Meriden Police say a teenager who ran away from home on Sunday has been found safe.

Police alerted the public Monday after 17-year-old Casey Birdsey left home ahead of Hurricane Sandy.

Police said Tuesday that Birdsey had been located and was in good condition. No further details were provided.

Meriden Police are asking for the public's help finding a runaway teen.

17-year-old Casey Birdsey was last seen Sunday and police are concerned about her welfare, in part, because of Hurricane Sandy. Her family is also concerned with her emotional state of mind.

Police were able to contact Birdsey on Sunday but her whereabouts are unknown. She was last seen wearing a blue hoody and gray sweatpants.
