Meriden to Open Emergency Shelter at Washington Middle School

The shelter will be open starting 8 a.m. Monday.

 

In preparation for the impending storm, the Meriden Health Department will be opening an emergency shelter at Washington Middle School, 1225 North Broad Street starting 8:00a.m. on Monday, October 29, 2012.

If you are leaving home to stay with friends, family, or at a shelter or warming center, remember to bring your prescription and non-prescription medications, including insulin and testing supplies. You should also bring enough personal supplies to stay for 48 hours - personal care items, clothing, entertainment (books, cards), snacks.

The storm is expected to hit Connecticut Sunday night into Monday and is expected to last for days.
