Meriden Trail Days

The event starts at 10 a.m. on Saturday.

 

Come celebrate on Saturday, June 2 from 10:00-11:30am at the (Red Bridge) in Meriden (corner of Oregon
Road and Rt. 70).


The morning events will include:

  • A ceremony recognizing the Quinnipiac River Gorge Trail as a “Connecticut Greenway”
  • A showcase of plans for the Hanover Pond Trail and a city-wide vision of future trails
  • Free canoe rides courtesy of the Quinnipiac River Watershed Association
    (QRWA)
  • A showcase of educational exhibits about Meriden’s natural resources and environmental issues


The will be giving out free pedometers to attendees (first come, first serve). Light refreshments will be available. 

Meriden’s Trail Day Partners include the Meriden Conservation Commission, Meriden Land Trust, QRWA, and the Meriden Linear Trails Committee. In the event of heavy rain the event will be cancelled and be posted on www.meridenhealth.com and the City of Meriden Facebook page. Please park in Dossin Beach lot.
