Meriden resident , 37, will sit beside daytime talk show host Kelly Ripa on her Live! with Kelly show on July 24.
Although he stumbled through one of this morning's competitions part of the , and set up to determine which of the two finalists, Buckley or William Tant of New York, would co-host the show, Buckley's energetic and charismatic interview of a fictitious actress pushed him to the front of the pack, according to a news release from ABC Television.
The last challenges were a tongue-twisting teleprompter read, and an exciting obstacle course of demos (shooting a basketball, blending a drink, and a science experiment) that the hosts of Live! have performed on the show.
