Meriden Police are investigating a shooting that occurred Saturday night near the YMCA building in downtown Meriden that left both a man and a woman with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
Police received several 911 calls at approximately 8 p.m. about a shooting on the sidewalk near West Main Street and Butler Street.
They arrived to find a man and woman with single gunshot wounds to the leg, according to Department Spokesman Leonard Caponigro.
The wounds were reportedly non-life-threatening, and the two were treated at the scene and then taken to Hartford Hospital. Police are on scene.
