Water Main Break Reported in Meriden

Workers with the city's water department are responding to a water main break at Main Street and Pettit Drive, according to a report.

Service has been disrupted, the report says. There's no indication of what caused the problem or when it might be fixed.

The following message was left on the city's Facebook page:

The Public Works Department is doing their best to plow the streets. Several of the trucks got stuck in the snow and required heavy equipment to free them. We ask all residents to be patient and to stay off the roads. The Governor has shut down ALL roads to traffic except for emergency and utility vehicles. Thank you.
