Appetite For Art

      Gallery 53, an arm of the Meriden Arts and Crafts Association, will host a food and art show: Appetite For Art, February 8 - 21.  The show will combine the art of food and the food of art in various media such as sculpture, painting, photography and edible food designs. Students from Wilcox Technical School's Culinary Arts program as well as The Arc food and catering program will participate. Receiving will be Thursday - Saturday, January 30 - February 1.  The public is invited to the opening reception at Gallery 53, 53 Colony St. Meriden on February 8 from 1 -3 PM.  The Artisan Gift Shop is open during all Gallery 53 hours and events.
     Nutmeg Knitting Guild meets in the upstairs conference room on the third Wednesday of the month from 7-9 PM.  Knitting classes, Knitting With Marilyn, will held Thursdays from 6 -8 PM.  The Knitting Club meets from 6-9 PM in the upstairs conference room on the 2nd and 4th Friday of each month.
Winter, spring classes are forming.
