“Whole
Person Humanism”
Worship leader: Dr. John Hooper

Science is not enough. The stereotypical view of Humanism as a purely
rational worldview, centered on a third–person perspective of the world, has
become obsolete.  Science, itself,
has demonstrated that we are hard-wired for empathy and connection.  Moreover, members of the most rapidly
growing segment of Americans consider themselves to be “spiritual but not
religious.” Whole person Humanism integrates first-person experience,
second-person empathy, and third-person rationality into a life stance that can
fully appreciate the wonder and celebrate the awe of being alive.
