NALC Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive

NALC 20th Annual Food Drive on Saturday May 12th!

Saturday, May 12th is the day to leave non-perishable food donations by your mailbox! The National Association of Letter Carriers in Meriden and Wallingford, in conjunction with the U.S. Postal Service and the United Way of Meriden and Wallingford proudly sponsor this local food drive supporting our community. Letter carriers in Meriden and Wallingford will be collecting food donations along their route on Saturday May 12th for local pantries. During this difficult economic period, there is an enormous need for food in our community as food banks continue to experience record demand for food assistance. This annual food drive is an important event that assists in the restocking of the following local pantries: Meriden Soup Kitchen, Salvation Army, Shelter NOW, New Opportunities, Catholic Charities, Master’s Manna and the Good News Christian Center. Please remember to leave non-perishable food items near your mailbox, for pick up on May 12th. Remember - expired food donations cannot be distributed, so please check the expiration date on all items. We thank you in advance for your contribution towards ending hunger in Meriden and Wallingford!

If you have any questions, please contact The Volunteer Center at the United Way of Meriden and Wallingford. (203)235-4403 x 12
