This week the Cole Bros. Circus of the Stars pitched its big top at the Hub for three days of three-ring entertainment for children of all ages. Some . Specifically, they say circus animal acts should be outlawed because they are harmful to both the animals and the public.
In the last few years, Cole Bros. has been cited for several violations of the Animal Welfare Act. In addition to mistreatment of the animals, the citations involve incidents where animals were improperly supervised, putting the public at risk.
