Break your cabin fever and head out this Sunday for a multitude of activities

Get out! Cast off those winter blues and spend the day away from the house.

Go for a hike

Set out on a 10-mile hike of the Metacomet and other trails with the New Haven Hiking Club. The club will meet at Target, 474 Chamberlain Hwy., Meriden at 9 a.m.  Be sure to bring lunch, a snack, water and foot traction. See more .

Valentine Brunch

The Meriden Elks will hold a Sunday morning from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. for $8 a person, at 120 E. Main St., Meriden.

Quinnipiac River Watershed Hike

Non-early birds who want to stop and learn about the Quinnipiac River can pass up the New Haven hike and instead join a 1:30 p.m. walk with wildlife biologist and Quinnipiac River Watershed Association Board Member Peter Picone. The begins at 1 Banton St. in North Haven.

Instructor Recital

Voice and instrument teachers from JC Music on West Main Street will perform their own Sunday at 5 p.m. at the Augusta Curtis Cultural Center at 175 East Main Street, Meriden.
