3 Hurt, Including Pedestrian in Crash Near Franklin School

Meriden Police are searching for witnesses to the Thursday afternoon crash.


Three people were injured, including a pedestrian, in a crash involving a van and a car near the Franklin School Thursday afternoon, according to reports.

The two vehicles were traveling in opposite directions on West Main near Chamberlain Highway at about 3 p.m. when the crash occurred, according to the Record-Journal. Meriden Police said the van was westbound and veered into the oncoming lane, crashing into the sedan and hitting the pedestrian.

Police said both drivers and the pedestrian were taken to hospitals with minor injuries. The road was closed for about 45 minutes while police investigated.
