City Man Charged with Child Molestation in Rhode Island

The accused had been a youth football coach in Pawtucket, RI.

Rhode Island State Police have charged a 37-year-old city man with six counts of sexual assault and four counts of 1st-degree child molestation after a 15-year-old boy told his parents the man had abused both him and two friends, ABC-Channel 6's website reported late Friday afternoon.

Curtis Rogers was arraigned Friday and is being held without bail pending a hearing scheduled for July 7. ABC-6, which serves the Providence, RI, and New Bedford, MA, areas, reported that Rogers allegedly had access to the boys while working as a youth football coach in Pawtucket, where he also coached youth basketball and worked at the local Boys & Girls Club.
