Convicted Felon Pleads Guilty to Having Illegal Firearms

Man could get 10 years in prison for having semi-automatic gun.

After police allegedly found a semi-automatic gun, more than eight pounds of marijuana, and $28,000 in his home during a December 2010 search, a Meriden man pleaded guilty Friday to one count of unlawful possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.

Larry Lee, 30, could face up to 10 years in prison and up to a $250,000 fine at his sentencing for the Ruger P90DC .45 Caliber semi-automatic handgun and bullets that police said they found at his home on December 15, 2010.

Lee has been convicted of two previous felony offenses, which makes it illegal for him to have a firearm that has “moved in interstate or foreign commerce,” according to the U.S. States Attorney. During the search and seizure, police also found 20 rounds of .45 caliber ammunition, marijuana, U.S. currency, drug packaging and an electronic money counter.
