One Adult, Two Children Sent to Hospital after Collision with Tractor Trailer on I-691
Car reportedly collided with a tractor trailer near exit 8 Westbound on I-691 in Meriden.

Two children and one adult were taken to area hospitals after their car collided with a tractor trailer on I-691 in Meriden, according to the Meriden Fire Department.
The driver of the tractor trailer was uninjured in the accident, which slowed traffic to a trickle on I-691 Westbound from about 2 p.m. until just after 3 p.m. Wednesday.

Dispatchers at State Police Troop I, when phoned, could not verify the condition of any of those injured or give names of those involved. A Meriden Fire Department spokesman said he did not believe the injuries to be life threatening.
