Meriden Man Accused in Auto Shop Assault Has Case Continued

Nathaniel Chambers, 28, is facing assault and robbery charges, and three other Meriden residents have also been arrested in connection to a South Windsor attack in January.

The Meriden man accused of attacking and severely injuring two people at a South Windsor auto shop in January had his pre-trial hearing continued Wednesday until Sept. 11, according to the Hartford Superior Court clerk.

Nathaniel “Nate” Chambers, 28, of 144 2H Pratt St., Meriden, is charged with two counts of first-degree assault, first-degree robbery and stealing a firearm after the alleged Jan. 8 attack in South Windsor of Forced Induction Motorsports owner Robert Lareau, 28, of Enfield, and employee Ryan Kelleher, 21.

Chambers is currently being held on $400,000 bond, according to court records.

Three other Meriden men — Luis Ruiz, 20, of 200 Crown St., Francisco Ruiz, 24, of 200 Crown St., and Jose Ramos, 40, of 292 Cook Ave. — have been charged in connection with the incident.
