Meriden Man Charged in Middlefield Home Invasion
State police arrested two men Wednesday for an alleged premeditated burglary
State police arrested two men in a home invasion at 361 Jackson Hill Road in Middlefield Wednesday night.
Shane Leverette, 42, of Meriden and Randy Cochran, 31, of Plantsville, face several charges, including home invasion, second degree assault and criminal use of a firearm.
Police were called to the home shortly before 11 p.m. after a report of a robbery in progress. When officers arrived they surrounded the home and a short time later the suspects were arrested without incident, according to a police report.

One victim was transported to Middlesex Hospital where he was treated and released for injuries sustained during the course of the robbery.
The crime was not a random act, according to a police report, which said the suspects had met the victim previously through mutual friends.

Cochran and Leverette are each being held on $500,000 bond and were due in court today.
According to a police report the criminal investigation is ongoing.
