Meriden Police Blotter: 'Bad Moon on the Rise'

They say a full moon brings crazy activity and with the largest moon in many years overhead during the weekend, the saying rang true in Meriden. Police reported a large spike in activity leading to numerous arrests and even more citations. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

June 21


Leon Joyner, 26, of 37 Randolph Ave. in Meriden, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under suspension, reckless driving, first-degree kidnapping and first-degree reckless endangerment, June 21.

Vincent Torres, 22, of 64 Woodland Ave. in Meriden, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, June 21.

Allan D. Davis, 23, of 257 Kensington Ave. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to have a front license plate, June 21.

Robert Anthony Crosby, of 495 Crown St. in Meriden, was charged with evading responsibility in an accident, reckless driving and failure to drive to the right, June 21.

Kristopher Everett Campbell, of 50 Hermit Thrush Lane in Plantsville, was charged with disorderly conduct, third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and risk of injury to a minor, June 21.

June 22


Justin Johnson, of 4860 Cromwell Ave. in Memphis, Tenn., was charged with breach of peace and possession of narcotics, June 22.

Carrie Taylor, 40, of 12 Balsam Road in Wallingford, was charged with third-degree robbery, possession of narcotics and sixth-degree larceny, June 22.

David Rodriguez, 23, of 40 Elliott St. in Meriden, was charged with failure to insure motor vehicle, misuse of plates and take into custody on extradition charges, June 22.

Shahyra Monique Grant, 21, of 1630 Main St. in Hartford, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, June 22.

Lizandra Larreui, 19, of 378 Lasalle St. in New Britain, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, June 22.

Ebonie Grant, 19, of 1630 Main St. in Hartford, was charged with fifth-degree larceny, June 22.

Nehemia Diaz, 27, of 159 Dover St. in New Haven, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, June 22.

June 23


Casey Mullen, 20, of 201 Britannia St. in Meriden, was charged with reckless driving and evading responsibility in an accident, June 23.

Richard Cassin, 41, of 45 Union St. in Meriden, was charged with traveling unreasonably fast, misuse of plates, failure to insure motor vehicle and operating an unregistered motor vehicle, June 23.

John Mangine, 56, of 393 Center St. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary, criminal trespassing, breach of peace and criminal mischief, June 23.

June 24


Nathan Hall, of 107 Douglas Drive in Meriden, was charged with second-degree threatening and disorderly conduct, June 24.

  • Eight people were cited with failure to carry a license/driving without a license.
  • Seven people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.

  • One person was cited with passing a standing school bus.
  • One person was cited with failure to use turn signal.
  • One person was cited with unsafe movement of a motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with failure to display license plate.
  • One person was cited with unsafe passing.
  • One person was cited with failure to drive right.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle with colored lights.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with failure to have proper headlights.
  • One person was cited with failure to license a dog.
  • One person was cited with failure to vaccinate a dog.
  • One person was cited with following too closely.
  • One person was cited with failure to obey the signal of an officer.
  • One person was cited with public drinking.
