Meriden Police Blotter: Bunker Ave. Man Charged in Drug Investigation

Two Bunker Avenue residents were arrested, including one on burglary and drug sale charges, following an investigation by the crime suppression unit late last week. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

May 30

Donald Poteat, 27, of 104 Bunker Ave. in Meriden, was charged with sale of a controlled substance, sale of a controlled substance in a school zone, conspiracy to sell a controlled substance, third-degree burglary, disorderly conduct and interfering with police, May 30.

Pepsi Holder, 24, of 104 Bunker Ave. in Meriden, was charged with interfering with police, May 30.

Stephen Whitman, 47, of 60 Center St. in Wallingford, was charged with violation of probation, May 30.

Subastian McCulla, 21, of 2209  Flagler Ave. in Key West, Fla., was charged with first-degree failure to appear, May 30.

Jovanni Martinez, 19, of 210 Cook Ave. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, May 30.

May 31

Daniel Rook, 28, of 3901 Meetinghouse Village in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, May 31.

Patel Ashokbhai, 55, of 1005 N. Main St. in Wallingford, was charged with sale of liquor to a minor (second offense), May 31.

Henry Card, 27, of 31 New Hanover Ave. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, May 31.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • 2 failure to grant right of way.
  • 1 failure to insure motor vehicle.
  • 1 failure to drive a reasonable distance apart.
  • 1 failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • 1 creating a public disturbance.
  • 1 operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • 1 operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • 1 operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
