Meriden Police Blotter: Burglars Caught Red-Handed

In a busy week for police, officers have responded to numerous cases leading to arrests including the arrest of three Hartford residents that were caught in an attempted burglary early Wednesday morning. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

June 24

Gregory Brooks, 37, of 23 Main St. in Durham, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, June 24.

Krissy Voisine, 30, of 1102 E. Main St. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, June 24.

Josue Vazquez, 29, of 43 St. Casimir Drive in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a vehicle without a license and violation of city park curfew, June 24.

Emilio Mercado, 19, of 98 Hall Ave. in Meriden, was charged with violation of probation, June 24.

Steven Rosa, 26, of 236 W. Main St. in Meriden, was charged with third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny, June 24.

June 25

Nathalie Valentin, 20, of 512 E. Main St. in Middletown, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, June 25.

Anthony Higgs, 27, of 47 Lincoln St. East in Meriden, was charged with interfering with an officer, possession of marijuana, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and littering, June 25.

Thomas Thomas-Byrd, 18, of 151 Magnolia St. in Hartford, was charged with two counts of second-degree failure to appear, June 25.

Kristine Lynn Hettrick, 57, of 42 Orient St. in Meriden, was charged with possession of narcotics and three counts of sale of narcotics, June 25.

Ryan Donald Filipowicz, 29, of 50 Pinehurst Drive in Meriden, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, June 25.

Jose Angel Gonzalez-Toledo, 33, of 43 St. Casimir Drive in Mriden, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, June 25.

Eric Pomerleau, 20, of 85 Bradely Ave. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and insufficient insurance, June 25.

June 26

Elizabeth Waldron, 22, of 123 Harrington St. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, June 26

Adriana D. Garcia, 18, of 3 Mahl Ave. in Hartford, was charged with reckless driving, evading responsibility in an accident, first-degree reckless endangerment, interfering with police, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit third-degree burglary and criminal attempt to commit assault on an officer, June 26.

Tyren Martin, 19, of no given address in Hartford, was charged with possession of burglary tools, interfering with police, breach of peace, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny, June 26.

Kahlia, 18, of 12 Willar St. in Hartford, was charged with possession of burglary tools, interfering with police, breach of peace, conspiracy to commit sixth-degree larceny, criminal attempt to commit third-degree burglary and criminal attempt to commit sixth-degree larceny, June 26.

Roberta L. Wagoner, 47, of 19 Winthrop St. in Meriden, was charged with violation of probation, June 26.

Lennie Kroher, 40, of 257 Reynolds Drive in Meriden, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, June 26.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Twenty (20) people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Four people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Three people were cited following too close.
  • Three people were cited with possession of alcohol by a minor.
  • Three people were cited with violation of city park curfew.
  • Three people were cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
  • Three people were cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Two people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • One person was cited with driving the wrong way on a one-way road.
  • One person was cited with littering.
  • One person was cited with simple trespassing.
  • One person was cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with failure to maintain proper lane.
  • One person was cited with failure to have taillights lit.
  • One person was cited with failure to carry insurance card.
  • One person was cited with failure to vaccinate a pet.
