Meriden Police Blotter: Drug Busts, Fights and Thefts

The following arrest information was provided by the Meriden Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

In a busy end of week and weekend for Meriden police, officers responded to a wide variety of cases that covered larcenies, domestics, drug charges, DUIs and more. Take a look back at the latest police logs.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

Aug. 15

Tyler J. Steward, 21, of 25 Twiss St. in Meriden, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with the intent to sell, interfering with an officer, assault on a public safety officer, first-degree reckless endangerment, conspiracy to commit first-degree assault, conspiracy to distribute narcotics, violation of probation, failure to respond to an infraction, first-degree failure to appear, second-degree breach of peace and second-degree reckless endangerment, Aug. 15.

Brittany Bryant, 19, of 46 Broad St. in Meriden, was charged with minor in possession of alcohol, possession of narcotics and conspiracy to commit sale of narcotics, Aug. 15.

Aug. 16

Loretta Martin, 27, of 288 Curtis St. in Meriden, was charged with fourth-degree larceny, second-degree forgery, third-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, Aug. 16.

Ciro Romano-Vazquez, 30, of 109 Britannia St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 16.

Miriam Rodriguez, 31, of 109 Britannia St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 16.

Dorian Lee St. James, 40, of 288 Curtis St. in Meriden, was charged with sixth-degree larceny and conspiracy to commit third-degree larceny, Aug. 16.

Joseph L. Troutman, 35, of 23 Homestead Ave. in Meriden, was charged with reckless driving, unsafe backing and second-degree breach of peace, Aug. 16.

Linda Ann Camp, 52, of 112 Hobart St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 16.

Robert B. Wiggins, 27, of 448 Meloy Road in West Haven, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 16.

Matthew Johnson, 26, of 366 Bee St. in Meriden, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, Aug. 16.

Jason Chapman, 31, of 76 Botsford St. in Meriden, was charged with violation of probation, Aug. 16.

Aug. 17

Kimberlee Donofrio, 31, of 67 Dora Lane in Middletown, was charged with third-degree larceny and third-degree identity theft, Aug. 17.

Maisonet Rey, 35, of 82 E. Main St. in Meriden, was charged with violation of a protective order, breach of peace and resisting arrest, Aug. 17.

Victor Ayala, 23, of 122 Charles St. in Meriden, was charged with failure to wear seatbelt, misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and driving a motor vehicle without a license, Aug. 17.

Jonathan Torres, 21, of 14 Lincoln St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 17.

Juana Fuentes, 33, of 210 Cook Ave. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 17.

Jose Ortiz, 19, of 207 Plain Drive in East Hartford, was charged with fourth-degree larceny, Aug. 17.

Moses Rodriguez, 28, of 390 Bee St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, second-degree failure to appear and violation of probation, Aug. 17.

Roberto Candelaria, 24, of 71 Caitlin St. in Meriden, was charged with breach of peace, disorderly conduct and interfering with an officer, Aug. 17.

Aug. 18

Alisha J. Taylor, 21, of 535 N. Colony St. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 18.

Gilberto Guadalupe, 18, of 15 Cook Ave. in Meriden, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, Aug. 18.

Michelle M. Scionti, 41, of 31 Mill Pond Lane in Durham, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 18.

Matthew Messier, 22, of 85 Fourth St. in Meriden, was charged with driving while intoxicated and reckless driving, Aug. 18.

Antwan R. Chadwick, 29, of 126 Gravel St. in Meriden, was charged with traveling too fast, driving with a suspended license and held on being a fugitive from justice, Aug. 18.

Ramon Melendez, 26, of 87 Meadow St. in Meriden, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession with the intent to sell, two counts of possession of drugs near a prohibited place, possession of marijuana, possession with the intent to sell, two counts of possession of marijuana near a prohibited place and possession of drug paraphernalia, Aug. 18.

Tatiana Blair, 18, of 50 Hobart St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 18.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Eight people were cited with public drinking.
  • Six people were cited with simple trespassing.
  • Six people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Five people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Five people were cited with creating a public disturbance.
  • Four people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • Four people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Two people were cited with failure to use a signal during a turn.
  • Two people were cited with failure to grant right of way.
  • Two people were cited with failure to wear seatbelt.
  • Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • Two people were cited with following too close/unsafe backing.
  • Two people were cited with failure to carry insurance card.
  • Two people were cited with loitering.
  • One person was cited with failure to insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with failure to maintain proper lane/drive to the right.
  • One person was cited with failure to have proper headlights/tail lamps.
  • One person was cited with improper parking.
  • One person was cited with disobeying the signal of an officer.
  • One person was cited with failure to use proper bicycle safety equipment.
  • One person was cited with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
