Meriden Police Blotter: Drugs Gone Bad, Domestic Cases and Thefts

The following arrest information was provided by the Meriden Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

Police found themselves busy over the weekend, responding to a wide variety of calls ranging from drug possession and thefts to domestic cases. Take a look back at the latest arrests.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

Aug. 9

Devante Keshan Thomas, 19, of 181 Hicks St. in Meriden, was charged with failure to respond to a violation, Aug. 9.

Joseph Burgos, 24, of 19 North Fifth St. in Hudson, N.Y., was charged with first-degree failure to appear, Aug. 9.

Steven Cocchiola, 23, of 1385 Highland Ave. in Waterbury, was charged with third-degree burglary, sixth-degree larceny and second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 9.

Gordon Yager, 24, of 6 Prescott St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conuct and second-degree unlawful restraint, Aug. 9.

Roberta Rivera, 18, of 32 Mill St. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to properly insure motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license and possession of marijuana, Aug. 9.

Holly Abbott, 39, of 139 Camp St., was charged with possession of narcotics and negligent use of road by a pedestrian, Aug. 9.

Henry Kimbough, 58, of 94 Oak St. in Meriden, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, Aug. 9.

Aug. 10

Christine Justay, 43, of 10 Broad St. in Meriden, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, Aug. 10.

Abimael Batista, 31, of 171 Broad St. in Meriden, was charged with possession of narcotics, possession of drug paraphernalia, illegal storage of narcotics and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, Aug. 10.

Robert Husted, 40, of 295 Highland Ave in Meriden, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, Aug. 10.

Angelys Badillo-Gonzalez, 22, of 144 Pratt St. in Meriden, was charged with sixth-dgeree larceny, Aug. 10.

Scott D. Fournier, 45, of 68 Knob Hill Road in Meriden, was charged with failure to respond to an infraction, Aug. 10.

Gina Ayala, 24, of 71 Oak St. in Meriden, was charged with breach of peace, Aug. 10.

Aug. 11

Lawrence Jackson, 38, of 94 Cass St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct and third-degree assault, Aug. 11.

Loren Marimar Gomez, 18, of 71 Catlin St. in Meriden, was charged with risk of injury to a minor and disorderly conduct, Aug. 11.

William R. Mendez, 22, of 71 Catlin St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, violation of a protective order and unlawful restraint, Aug. 11.

Jason Carney, 36, of 53 Newton St. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and second-degree threatening, Aug. 11.

Jacob Allan Tracy, 20, of no given address in Meriden, was charged with fifth-degree larceny and violation of probation, Aug. 11.

Joshua James Rouse, 21, of 1164 N. Colony Road in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 11.

Tevin Knight, 21, of 17 Bretton Road in Middletown, was charged with second-degree threatening, first-degree unlawful restraint, second-degree breach of peace and third-degree assault, Aug. 11.

Bernabe Fuentes, 21, of 46 Hollis Drive in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 11.

Balbina Fuentes, 36, of 46 Hollis Drive in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 11.

Rebecca Lopez, 23, of 8 Gilbert Road in Meriden, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence, unsafe backing, operating a motor vehicle without a license and risk of injury to a minor, Aug. 11.

Jorge Cardoso, 22, of 13 Logan St. in New Britain, was charged with operating a motor vehicle without a license, failure to display lights, seatbelt violation, possession of narcotics, possession of narcotics with the intent to sell and possession of narcotics in a school zone, Aug. 11.

Aug. 12

Jeremiah Nonamaker, 52, of 93 Sunny Ridge Drive in Winstead, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Aug. 12.

Hecmarie Gomez, 27, of 114 E. Main St. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace and creating a public disturbance, Aug. 12.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Three people were cited with simple trespassing.
  • Three people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Three people were cited with following too close/unsafe backing.
  • Two people were cited with reckless use of highway by a pedestrian.
  • Two people were cited with failure to grant right of way.
  • Two people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Two people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • Two people were cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • One person was cited with distracted driving.
  • One person was cited with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
  • One person was cited with failure to carry insurance card.
  • One person was cited with failure to renew registration.
  • One person was cited with failure to renew license.
  • One person was cited with failure to carry license.
  • One person was cited with public drinking.
  • One person was cited with failure to turn headlights on at night.
  • One person was cited with driving the wrong way on a one way road.
  • One person was cited with failure to wear seatbelt.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • One person was cited with operator causing unnecessary noise with a motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with passing in a no passing zone.
