Meriden Police Blotter: Holiday Weekend Means Heavy Police Activity

The following arrest information was provided by the Meriden Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction.

A sobriety checkpoint proved to keep officers busy over the weekend, leading to a few arrests and dozens of citations. That was just part of a hefty set of weekend logs. Take a look back at the latest arrests.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:


Aug. 29

Michael A. Roberts, 45, of 69 Butternut Drive in Meriden, was charged with possession of narcotics and possession of drug paraphernalia, Aug. 29.

Aug. 30

Dwight Williams, 61, of 629 Broad St. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to insure motor vehicle, Aug. 30.

Jose Cosnig, 26, of 35 Goodwill Ave. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, operating a motor vehicle without a license and using a cell phone while driving, Aug. 30.

Jeffrey Sill, 54, of 2 Washington Heights in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to insure motor vehicle, Aug. 30.

Clayton Dimanno, 27, of 1540 Willard Ave. in Newington, was charged with violation of probation, Aug. 30.

Bryan Salgado, 21, of 53 Vine St. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Aug. 30.

Nakeesha Watson, 30, of 158 Miller St. in Meriden, was charged with third-degree larceny and issuing a bad check, Aug. 30.

Aug. 31

Phillip Lohman, 58, of 16 Platt Ave. in Meriden, was charged with driving under the influence and reckless driving, Aug. 31.

Ricardo Ceballos, 33, of 189 Curtis St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 31.

Angel L. Miranda, 29, of 94 Cynthia Lane in Middletown, was charged with second-degree unlawful restraint, interfering with an emergency call and disorderly conduct, Aug. 31.

Peter Nessing, 43, of 25 Joseph Lane in Meriden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, Aug. 31.

Tracy Nessing, 42, of 73 Farnes Ave. in Meriden, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, Aug. 31.

Karlee Lynn Bella, 20, of 307 Main St. in Yalesville, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 31.

Joshua Norberto, 23, of 223 Old Stagecoach Road in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 31.

Tyler R. Hoffler, 23, of 135 Shawn Drive in Bristol, was charged with failure to display marker plate, operating an unregistered motor vehicle, misuse of marker plate and failure to insure motor vehicle, Aug. 31.

Blair Killilea, 20, of 52 Washington St. in Bristol, was charged with fifth-degree larceny and third-degree forgery, Aug. 31.

Charles Baez, 30, of 109 Oregon Road in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, failure to insure motor vehicle, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, Aug. 31.

Danielle Fitzpatrick, 25, of 179 Springdale Ave. in Meriden, was charged with violation of a protective order, Aug. 31.

Laura Swan, 61, of 166 Gravel St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 31.

Richard Swan, age not given, of 166 Gravel St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Aug. 31.

Sept. 1

Danielle Fitzpatrick, 25, of 179 Springdale Ave. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, violation of probation and violation of conditions of release, Sept. 1.

Jennifer Roman, 30, of 9 Gold St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, Sept. 1.

Marcelin Douze, 39, of 299 S. Elm St. in Wallingford, was charged with second-degree failure to appear, Sept. 1.

John P. Thornton, 51, of 16 Hitchcock Drive in Meriden, was charged with fourth-degree larceny and issuing a bad check, Sept. 1

Sept. 2

Daniel Rivera, 29, of 20 Hickory St. in Meriden, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, Sept. 2.

Brian Luis Adorno, 26, of 31 N. Third St. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, failure to insure motor vehicle and operating a motor vehicle without a proper license, Sept. 2.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Nine people were cited with speeding/traveling too fast.
  • Eight people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Eight people were cited with operating a motor vehicle without a license.
  • Six people were cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • Five people were cited with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
  • Four people were cited with reckless use of highway by a pedestrian.
  • Four people were cited with public drinking.
  • Four people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Three people were cited with failure to display marker plates.
  • Three people were cited with using a cell phone while driving.
  • Three people were cited with failure to wear a seatbelt.
  • Two people were cited with simple trespassing.
  • Two people were cited with failure to carry insurance card.
  • Two people were cited with obstructing a sidewalk.
  • Two people were cited with failure to have child in proper restraints.
  • Two people were cited with failure to have proper headlights/taillamps.
  • One person was cited with failure to wear a seatbelt.
  • One person was cited with failure to properly insure motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with unsafe backing/following too close.
  • One person was cited with unauthorized colored lights on a motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with creating a public disturbance.
  • One person was cited with violation of juvenile curfew.
