Meriden Police Blotter: Man Taken Into Custody on Extradition Charge

A busy weekend for police led to multiple arrests in domestic cases, DUIs and led one Meriden resident to face extradition. Take a look back at the latest arrest logs.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

June 28


West J. Johnson, of 65 Cherry St. in Meriden, was charged with evading responsibility in an accident and failure to maintain proper lane, June 28.

Robert Dunbar, of no given address in Meriden, was charged with violation of probation, June 28.

Jose Marrero-Resto, 27, of 86 Olive St. in Meriden, was charged with violation of a restraining order and second-degree harassment, June 28.

Edwin Flores, 31, of 581 Crown St. in Meriden, was charged with misuse of plates, operating an unregistered motor vehicle and failure to insure motor vehicle, June 28.

Concepcion Mendoza, 38, of 185 Springdale Ave. in Meriden, was charged with operating an unregistered motor vehicle, failure to have proper license plates, windshield obstruction, falsifying marker plates, failure to carry minimum insurance and operating a motor vehicle under suspension, June 29.

Courtney Anthony Forbes, 52, of 162 Britannia St. in Meriden, was charged with third-degree assault and disorderly conduct, June 29.

Jorge Chaparro, 35, of 57 N. Pearl St. in Meriden, was charged with reckless driving and driving while intoxicated, June 29.

Reinaldo Lopez, 31, of 40 Norwell St. in West Haven, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, second-degree criminal mischief and interfering with an officer, June 30.

Dorcis Diaz, 38, of 67 Alcove St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, June 30.

Richard Medina, 41, of 67 Alcove St. in Meriden, was charged with disorderly conduct, June 30.

Kendra Z. Hill, 18, of 481 Long Lane Road in Middletown, was charged with second-degree breach of peace, June 30.

Jalon Daniel Morris, 28, of 118 Hall Ave. in Meriden, was charged with third-degree strangulation, first-degree unlawful restraint, third-degree assault, disorderly conduct and sexual assault of a spouse, June 30.

Jonathan Korb, 22, of 73 Evansville Ave. in Meriden, was taken into custody on extradition, June 30.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:


  • Seven people were cited with park curfew violations.
  • Four people were cited with simple trespassing.
  • Four people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • Three people were cited with operating a motor vehicle under suspension.
  • Two people were cited with creating a public disturbance.
  • One person was cited with operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
  • One person was cited with failure to maintain proper lane.
  • One person was cited with failure to carry a license.
  • One person was cited with improper possession of a red flashing light.
  • One person was cited with operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
  • One person was cited with operating a motorcycle without a license.
  • One person was cited with causing unnecessary noise (muffler).
  • One person was cited with following too close.
  • One person was cited with transporting a child under 6 without proper restraint.
