Meriden Police Blotter: 'Out of Control' ATV

In a lighter set of logs for Meriden police, officers reported just two arrests and several citations. However, with an off-road incident spilling onto Meriden streets, things got interesting.

The Meriden Police Department reported the following arrests:

June 19

Juan Alberto Perez, 19, of 501 W. 147th St. in New York, N.Y., was charged with interfering with police, failure to stop while driving an ATV and operating a motor vehicle without a license, June 19.

June 20

Nadine Torres, 31, of 34 Horton Ave. in Meriden, was charged with sixth-degree larceny, June 20.

Other stats from reported traffic stops and incidents:

  • Two people were cited with failure to obey stop sign/traffic signal.
  • One person was cited with walking in the roadway.
  • One person was cited with failure to grant right of way.
  • One person was cited with possession of less than half an ounce of marijuana.
  • One person was cited with failure to obey traffic signal.
  • One person was cited with improper passing.
