Police have identified the two victims found dead of apparent carbon monoxide poisoning in a car on a city street as Meriden residents Carlos Rodriguez, 20, and Zhane Brown, 18.
Rodriguez lived at 11 Webster St. and Brown lived at 13 Webster St., police said Monday.
The pair were found dead just before 11 a.m. Sunday morning inside a car behind the 11 Webster St. house.
Police said the deaths appear to be the result of carbon monoxide poisoning, although the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Farmington said a cause of death hasn't been deteremined yet because an autopsy is still pending.
According to police, the man and woman were last seen together at about 9:30 p.m. Saturday night before they went into the car to listen to some music.
Police said although there were shoveled paths to the sides of the vehicle, the rest of the car was covered with snow. No foul play is suspected.
The incident remains under investigation.
My sympathy to the families.
