(Updated) Man Tasered Behind Police Station Identified as Noel Mendoza

State police have identified the man who was tasered outside the Meriden Police Department and taken to a local hospital where he eventually died as Noel Mendoza of Meriden.

The man who eventually died on Sunday evening after series of incidents outside the Meriden Police Department has been identified as 43-year-old Noel Mendoza of Meriden.

State police said Mendoza died in the emergency room at MidState Medical Center after a series of incidents around 9 p.m. Sunday that began when he entered the back parking lot of the Meriden Police Department and asked for help, saying someone was trying to take his car.

When police and medical personnel tried to assist the man, he became combative and was eventually subdued using a stun gun, both the Meriden Police Department and Connecticut State Police said Monday.

He was taken to MidState Medical Center where he was eventually pronounced dead in the emergency room.

A note at his family's home in Meriden read "No Comment, Go Away."
