PD: Felon Caught Growing Pot in Backyard 12 Marijuana Plants

A Meriden man and convicted felon is facing weapons, narcotics and marijuana possession sales charges after police say a confidential tip led to the discovery of dozen pot plants growing in his backyard, according to the Record-Journal.

On Sept. 19, Stephen Miller, 32, of South Avenue was charged with cultivation of marijuana, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of narcotics and marijuana with intent to sell, and weapons possession.

Police found 12 marijuana plants growing in the backyard totaling about 2.4 pounds, according to the Record-Journal, and narcotics in a prescription bottle, “heroine baggies,” lidocaine pain patches a vial of methadone, and an 8 mm pistol.

Miller has 13 convictions since 2001.
