PD: Man Stabbed During Altercation at Party Saturday Night

Meriden Police are looking for three suspects involved in an attack at a home on Hillside Avenue.

 

A 21-year-old man is recovering after being stabbed three times Saturday night outside of 35 Hillside Avenue in Meriden.

Police said the victim, whose name is not being released, suffered stab wounds to his arm, wrist and chest during an altercation with three male suspects around 11 p.m.

When police arrived at the address to investigate they were told the victim and the victim's cousin, a juvenile, were at a party at the home when a minor altercation took place inside.

A short time later the three suspects returned to the home and jumped the victim and his cousin, according to police. The altercation continued on Grover Street near Cliff Street, police said.

After the three suspects left the scene, the victim returned to the party where he discovered that he'd been stabbed. His injuries were not life threatening, police said, and no other injuries were reported.

Police described the attackers only as light skinned Hispanic or black males. The incident remains under investigation.
