PD: Missing Meriden Man Found Dead
The body of 55-year-old Thomas Benarro was located Thursday.
Meriden police said a South Meriden man who was reported missing on Sept. 23 has been found dead.
State and local police located the body of Thomas Benarro, 55, around 6 p.m. on Thursday, according to a news release.
Benarro’s death appears to be the result of an accident and foul play is not suspected, police said. An autopsy will be conducted to determine his cause of death. The press release didn't state where Benarro's body was found.
Benarro was last seen on Saturday, Sept. 21, around 3 p.m. in a wooded area near his home, police said.
Police issued a Silver Alert two days later.
Police had said that Benarro regularly took medication for depression and anxiety and was in danger without it.
